Salman Khan to bear the losses of the film Tubelight

New Delhi : This year Salman Khan’s Eid gift to all his fans did not turn out to be what it was expected. The collection of the film ‘Tubelight’ failed to meet the expectations. Due to which distributors of the film suffered huge losses.

Many producers and distributors according to reports of The Indian Express have demanded a refund for the losses from Salman Khan.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta has tweeted to confirm that Salman has agreed to bear all the losses and refund the money. She wrote, “SalmanKhan has agreed to refund monies to distributors to make up for losses in Tubelight. A lovely gesture. That’s being human!”

The film ‘Tubelight’ has made a gross amount of Rs. 114.50 crore net at the Indian Box Office till now.

Also with the release of new films like Mom, Guest In London and Spider-Man: Homecoming has also lead to a downfall in the box office of Tubelight.

Salman Khan, on the other hand, was happy with the critics. As he expected the critics to have bad reviews and stars, but on the contrary, they surprised him. He said, “The critics were like really good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 and they gave me 1 and 2, apparently. So, I am very pleased with that. What happens with a film like this… It’s an Eid release and it has been seen in recent years that there will be song-and-dance so, they went expecting that kind of film but got to see something else. So, now this film is not supposed to be seen with buddies and the thought ‘let’s have fun’. It’s a very emotional film. Howsoever cold-hearted, emotionless a person is, he or she will get teary-eyed after watching the film. This is that kind of a film, where you need to take your parents, grandparents, and families.”
