Shabana Azmi returns home, thanks fans for prayers and wishes
New Delhi : Actress Shaban Azmi, who had met with an accident a couple of days back on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, has returned home in good health. She was admitted at Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for over two weeks.
According to a PTI report, she had suffered head injuries in the accident.
On Saturday, Shabana Azmi shared the good news with a photo of her and gave her fans an update about her recovery. She expressed gratitude to each and every well-wisher for their "prayers and wishes" and tweeted: "Thank you all for your prayers and wishes for my recovery. I'm back home now." Shabana also expressed gratitude to the team of doctors who treated her. "Thank you Tina Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for the sterling care provided by the doctors team and the nursing staff. I'm indebted and grateful," she added.

Shabana Azmi's husbanf Javed Akhtar was also in the vehicle and managed to escape unhurt in the accident. Her car had rammed into a truck near Raigad's Khalapur and her driver has been booked for rash driving and negligence, reported PTI.
Her friends from industry have expressed happiness on her return home.
