Shahid Kapoor starrer Ishq Vishk to get sequel: Confirmed

New Delhi : Shahid Kapoor, the heartthrob who once rocked in Bollywood debut with Ishq Vishk (2003) may once again kill his fans with his cute smile. His chocolate-boy looks has turned a little macho and with every films of him, he is growing up in his career. 

Coming to the second issue of Ishq Vishk, it’s after 16 years the Ramesh Taurani confirmed to a daily that the film will get a sequel. "Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance or a college romance. 

The first film Ishq Vishk was directed by Ken Ghosh and revolved around the tale of two childhood sweethearts, Rajiv and Payal. Besides, Shahid, Amrita Rao and Shehnaaz Treasury played the lead roles.

Speaking about how Shahid came to be a part of the film, Taurani said, "He was very young then, so I asked him to wait for two-three years before I could launch him. When Ken narrated the final story of Ishq Vishk to me, I told him that I had a hero who fits the part and introduced him to Shahid," he added further.

On career front, Shahid is currently busy shooting for Kabir Singh, a remake of the critically acclaimed Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy. Directed by Sandeep Vanga, who also guided the original, the film is about a hot-headed surgeon who goes on a path of self-destruction after the love of his life marries someone else.
