Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh beats Salman Khan's 'Bharat' on Box Office
Mumbai : Kabir Singh Box Office Collections: Shahid Kapoor's latest release 'Kabir Singh' is on a roll as it is set to become the highest grosser of 2019 on Box Office. The movie which has been released on over 2000 screens across India is all set to cross the 250 crores mark.
Kabir Singh earned Rs 134.78 crore in its first week and Rs 78 crore in the second, taking its total collection to Rs 213.20 crore on Friday. The Shahid Kapoor's film has also surpassed the total collection of Salman Khan's 'Bharat'.
The business experts believe that if the film continues its good run on the Box Office then it will soon become the highest grossing movie, crossing the lifetime earnings of Vicky Kaushal's Uri.
Kabir Singh is the fourth biggest Hindi opener at the box office this year. The film, however, received mixed reviews and was criticised for glorifying violence in the name of love and glamorising misogyny.
The film is Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.
