Shahid may be playing just a cameo in 'Padmavati': Report

New Delhi : For those who are waiting to see Shahid Kapoor in a period drama 'Padmavati', here is some sad news. The actor shares very less screen space in the movie or rather refer it as a cameo appearance.

According to a report by India.com, a source from the film tells that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati actually revolves around Deepika Padukone, who plays the titular role. She has a major part in the film, as compared to the male leads. 

"While Shahid is paired opposite Deepika, the story focuses on Allaudin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh) and his obsession for the gorgeous Rani Padmini. They don’t have parts together, but the story is mostly about them and Shahid’s part of Raja Ratan Rawail Singh complements it," shared the source. 

With Shahid Kapoor sharing so many off duty pictures on his Instagram page it looks like the report has some substance to it.

Well, the good news remains that the film has completed major section and is running as per schedule, contrary to several reports which claimed delay in release of the movie.

The film has been scheduled to release on November 17.
