Bigg Boss 11 Finale: Shilpa Shinde is the winner of Salman Khan's Show

Mumbai : Shilpa Shinde, famed for 'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain', has become the winner of the reality TV show Bigg Boss 11 on Sunday. She was in tough competition with the actress and co-contestant Hina Khan.

Ahead of results, social media and Shilpa Shinde's friends from the industry flooded social media with messages mentioning that they want her to win the show. A total of four participants - Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan, Puneesh Sharma and Vikas Gupta - had made it to the finale after surviving three months in the house.

Akshay was also present on the show to promote his upcoming movie Padman when host Salman Khan announced the name of the winner.  TV actress Shilpa got emotional after her name was announced and reacting to the new achievement, she told IANS: "I still can't believe it has happened. I think if people made me a winner it is because they got to see my real personality."

Though Shilpa believes her celebrity status was not the only reason for her win, one of the noted incidents took place at a shopping mall that reflected otherwise.

When four participants went to appeal for the vote from a live audience, an alleged group of Shilpa fans attacked Hina and that was one of the examples of how Shilpa with her 15 years of career in the television industry managed to build up a strong fan base.

The final eviction on the show started with Puneesh, followed by Vikas. And as it was expected to have a tough fight between two popular television actress Hina and Shilpa, the last round hold the same excitement.

The finale episode started on a grand note with the performance of Salman's latest hit, "Tiger Zinda Hai" theme song joined by all four finalists. Akshay along with two of evicted participants- Dhinchak Pooja and Sapna Choudhary also performed. Together they grooved the audience with "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", "Dilon ka shooter, hai mera scooter".
