Shraddha Kapoor to reunite with Shahid Kapoor for 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'

New Delhi : Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor will be reuniting for an upcoming Bollywood movie 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.

The film is a love story focusing on the social issue of electricity shortage and also investigates inaccuracies of electricity bills generated.

According to reports, Shraddha Kapoor will be playing a character of a North Indian girl whose life serves as the catalyst for the story.

Shraddha, who had previously shared screen with Shahid in 'Haider', was keen to be a part of the film. Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Haider' had proved to be a defining moment in her career.

The shooting for the film is likely to begin from February this year. Majority of the film will be shot in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital.

As per more reports on the film, it is likely to have another leading lady as a lawyer alongside Shahid.
