New Delhi : Sonam Bajwa is among the highest paid actresses in the Punjabi film industry. She has featured in some of the Bollywood movies as well; however, she has claimed that she has been dropped from a lot of projects due to her one strict condition.

In a recent interaction, she revealed about one condition that dropped her from many Bollywood movies.

During an interview with Film Companion, Sonam Bajwa expressed, "In the realm of Bollywood, I declined a few opportunities because I pondered whether Punjab would approve of them. We have a mindset that emphasizes the importance of family acceptance and viewership."

She further explained, "At that time, I harbored a great deal of apprehension towards performing a kissing scene in a movie, as I questioned how the audience would react to it. I wondered if those very people who played a significant role in shaping my identity would be able to connect with it. Would they comprehend that it is solely for the purpose of the script? Would my family grasp that it is an integral part of a film?"

Earlier, the actress had said that she was the part of Varun Dhawan's Street Dancer 3D but her song was edited out of the film by director Remo D’Souza. She had also auditioned for Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om, but later the role was given to Deepika Padukone.
