Sridevi likely to star in English Vinglish sequel

New Delhi : It has been five years when Sridevi made her comeback in Bollywood with much appreciated movie – English Vinglish. The film was not only praised by the critics but also was given a thumbs up by the audiences for its realistic takes.

Now, the reports are in that Gauri Shinde and Sridevi are again planning to team up for the sequel of the film.

A source told TOI: "Sridevi indicated that a collaboration is in the offing when the film completed five years last month. She shared a picture of Gauri and her, and wrote, 'Coming Soon'. They were supposed to come together for a woman-centric light-hearted comedy earlier, but the story was not fully developed. So they shifted their focus to the sequel."

This is not the first time talks of English Vinglish sequel are making the headlines; in 2014, a similar news had come but both Sridevi and Gauri were quick enough to shut down the rumours.

No confirmation has come from Sridevi on this and Gauri Shinde, in her one of the recent interviews, were seen avoiding the topic. She had mentioned, "It's too early to talk about it. There's something happening. We will talk about it when things are concrete."
