Surprise Wedding: Yami Gautam ties knot with Uri director Aditya Dhar
Mumbai : Actress Yami Gautam on Friday surprised all with her post on social media, revealing that she has married her Uri movie director Aditya Dhar.
She shared a picture from her wedding ceremony, captioning it as "'In your light, I learn to love - Rumi'." The actress also revealed that only immediate family members were invited to the wedding. "With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family."
The couple seeked blessings from all via their identical Instagram posts which read, "As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya."
In the shared picture, Yami Gautam is looking drop-dead gorgeous as a bride and Aditya Dhar is complimenting her as dashing groom.
Soon after the announcement, their friends from the industry showered congratulatory wishes on the social media. Dia Mirza, Vaani Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neha Dhupia, Bhumi Pednekar, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vikrant Massey were among the first celebs to wish them "a wonderful journey ahead!"
Aditya Dhar is best known as the director of 2019 movie Uri: The Surgical Strike, which cast Yami Gautam as an undercover RAW agent. He is currently directing The Immortal Ashwatthama , starring Vicky Kaushal, who headlined Uri. Meanwhile, Yami Gautam is best known for films such as Vicky Donor, Kaabil and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. She will next be seen in Bhoot Police.
