The Kashmir Files has shown many false facts: Omar Abdullah
Srinagar : The nation has been giving a thumbs up to the recently released movie - 'The Kashmir Files'. But this is not the case everywhere, especially among the leaders from Kashmir.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that the movie is projecting many lies. The time which has been shown in the movie, Farooq Abdullah was not the CM, the governor rule was there.
He also claimed that the movie has shown only Kashmiri Pandits had to migrate, which was not the case; many Muslims and Sikhs were also forced to move out from the state. They were also killed and many have not returned yet.
The Kashmir Files was released in theatres on March 11. Since its release, the movie had been making headlines for its content which makers have claimed to be real incidents.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also appreciated the content of the movie in his recent public address.
The movie has also been made tax free in many states of India.
