New Delhi : Toilet: Ek Prem Katha opened to good reviews in theatres both from the critics and the audiences. On the opening day, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's movie managed to fetch Rs 13.10 crores.

While people are going gaga over the performance and the concept execution, it is expected that the film will manage to show some good figures in coming days.

Akshay Kumar's earlier releases Jolly LLB 2 and Rustom had collected Rs 13.20 and Rs 14.11 crore respectively.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha traces Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and Jaya's (Bhumi Pednekar) love story, which has a social message. Jaya, after marriage, leaves Keshav's home due to lack of toilet at his residence. Keshav tries hard to change the mind-set of his father, who believes that a toilet and the scared Tulsi plant cannot be in the same compound.
