PM Modi Interview: Twinkle Khanna reacts to Narendra Modi's non-political joke on her family

New Delhi : Twinkle Khanna on Wednesday reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'non-political' interview with her husband Akshay Kumar. Talking about the joke PM Modi made on how he helps in maintaining peace at Akshay's family, she said there is something positive to take away from the episode.

In a candid interview, PM Narendra Modi said he is a keen follower of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna on Twitter. "Main aapka bhi Twitter dekhta hoon aur Twinkle Khanna ji ka Twitter dekhta hoon. Kabhi Kabhi toh mujhe lagta hai ki vo mere upar gussa nikaalti hai Twitter pe, toh uske kaaran aapke parivaarik jeevan mein badi shaanti rehti hogi. Unka pura gussa mujpe nikal jaata hoga isliye aapko araam rehta hoga. Toh is prakaar se main aapke kaam aaya hoon," PM Modi joked.

Reacting to it, Twinkle Khanna wrote on Twitter: "I have a rather positive way of looking at this - Not only is the Prime Minister aware that I exist but he actually reads my work :)."

On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar had shared the interview with fans on the social media and had written, “While the whole country is talking elections and politics, here’s a breather. Privileged to have done this candid and COMPLETELY NON POLITICAL freewheeling conversation with our PM.”

A day later he wrote, “Do you ever wonder whether PM Modi manages to laugh during the heat of the election campaign?”

According to ANI, the PM said in the hour-long conversation, "I never thought of coming this far because as a child I had not seen anything beyond the village. The journey started and the country took me along.
