New Delhi : IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been returned to India at the Wagah-Attari border, two days after being captured by Pakistan during an intense aerial. The Wing Commander’s family reached Delhi from Chennai last evening. The nation is welcoming Abhinandan homecoming and Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan shared a tweet about his welcome.

Earlier, several Bollywood celebrities posted his return after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that he would send the pilot back home as a “gesture of peace.” The pilot was released and returned to the country via Wagah Border, Punjab. The pilot had earlier been held captive by the Pakistan government a few days back during the Surgical Strike 2.0.

As Abhinandan comes home, Shah Rukh wrote, “There is no better feeling than Coming back Home, for home is the place of love, hope & dreams. Ur bravery makes us stronger. Eternally grateful. #WelcomeBackAbhinandan.” Shah Rukh posted a photo of the national flag as he applauded for the Wing Commander's bravery.

Shah Rukh lauded for the Wing Commander besides other celebrities including Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Emraan Hashmi, Riteish Deshmukh and more.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is set to feature in Saare Jahan Se Acha which is astronaut Rakesh Sharma's biopic. However, no official news has been let out. He played the role of a midget Bauua Singh in his last film Zero which co-starred Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
