Veteran actor Vinod Khanna passes away due to cancer
Mumbai : In a shocking incident, veteran actor Vinod Khanna on Thursday passed away in Mumbai due to cancer at the age of 70. The BJP MP was hospitalized due to severe dehydration and suffering from bladder cancer.
Khanna, was BJP MP from Gurdaspur, Punjab and had worked in over 100 films.
He is survived by his wife Kavita Khanna, two sons Rahul, Akshaye and daughters Sakshi, Shraddha.
Vinod Khanna, in 80s was one of the most sought after film stars. He started his career with Mann Ka Meet. With movies like Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Imtihaan, Inkaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Lahu ke Do Rang, Qurbani, Dayavaan and Jurm he has left stamp of his own.
Earlier, a picture of Vinod Khanna with his family in the hospital went viral on social media.
Veteran actor Vinod Khanna was hospitalized in HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Girgaum.
