Watch: Padman trailer presents a heroic tale of real world

New Delhi : Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie 'Padman' trailer has been released by the makers. Based on a true story of a man, the two minutes and 40 seconds long trailer presents a heroic tale and troubles of the path-breaking initiative for women.

The much-talked content of the movie is based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented low-cost sanitary pad making machines. The trailer presents the ups and downs in a gist.

In PadMan, Akshay plays the titular 'superhero,' along with him is Radhika Apte, who plays his wife and Sonam Kapoor, who plays an activist/educator/social worker from the city. The trailer has been centered upon the character of Akshay Kumar.

Directed by R Balki, the film is an adaptation of a short story written by Twinkle Khanna in her second book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad.
