Vikram Bhatt opens about his relation with Sushmita

New Delhi : Years before, Sushmita Sen and Vikram Bhatt were the most talked about couple in Bollywood. It was only because of this affair that Vikram and his then wife Aditi got separated. Vikram is still in guilt for what he did to his wife and children.

He even said that he had suicidal thoughts when get things were out oh his hands, said in a HT Brunch interview. 

"That (suicidal thoughts) was not because of Sushmita. That was because of what I'd done to my life. I had gotten divorced, my film Ghulam was yet to be released, I was only Sushmita Sen's boyfriend, I was depressed, I missed my daughter like crazy...I had just made a mess of my life," he said.

Speaking about his affair with Sushmita Sen he said he still filled with regret, "I regret hurting my wife and my child and abandoning them. I regret the pain I caused them. I always believe that when you're not courageous, you become cunning. I did not have the courage to tell Aditi how I felt. And it was all happening together, it was a big mess,"

Back when they were together, they went to Simi Garewal’s shoe together. Sushmita when asked from Simi about her relationship with a man who is still married, she replied, "The wife and him were not living together, and I cannot go around feeling guilty or make a person feel guilty if he had a bad marriage."

"I don't feel guilty because I have done something very openly with a very open conscience. I know that the man was in a divorce when I met him, and I wasn't going to wait to tell the world that I loved him just because he hadn't gone through with his divorce yet’’, Sushmita added.
