Why did Katappa kill Baahubali? Director addresses the question

New Delhi : Ever since the first edition of movie Baahubali ended, that one question which is still buzzing is why did Katappa kill Baahubali? The answer may have remained a mystery so far but for director SS Rajamouli it is a hen hetching golden eggs.

Addressing the question during a promotional event, he mentioned about how this became a theme for promotions of upcoming movie - Baahubali: The Conclusion.

The theme has created a great impact over the audiences and was an idea by the director himself.

Shedding details into the theme Rajamouli said "Why Kattappa killed Baahubali? We thought of it as a theme for the part 2. We thought we will use that throughout in our promotions because that was the most asked question. We also have that scene in the film where we were shooting some stills and our designer Mr. Jaggan, he suddenly sent me this image one day. It was not scheduled and we were not releasing anything on that day but i could'nt help but.. just released it and I came up with the line of having the line 'The boy he raised, the man he killed'."

Baahubali 2 is slated to hit the silver screens on April 28, 2017.
