Oscars 2024: Robert Downey Jr wins best supporting actor for Oppenheimer

New Delhi : Hollywood's biggest night, the 96th Academy Awards, is underway! Early winners include familiar faces who've dominated this award season. Robert Downey Jr. took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer," while Da'Vine Joy Randolph won Best Supporting Actress for her role in "The Holdovers."
In the screenplay categories, "Anatomy of a Fall" won Best Original Screenplay, while "American Fiction" claimed the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Yorgos Lanthimos' "Poor Things" dominated the design categories, winning Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Makeup and Hair.
While India's official entry, the Malayalam film "2018: Everyone Is A Hero," didn't make the final nominations, the documentary "To Kill A Tiger," set in India, did compete for Best Documentary Feature. However, the award ultimately went to "20 Days In Mariupol."
