Musician Karan Joseph commits suicide by jumping off a high rise in Mumbai

Mumbai : Karan Joseph, a musician from Bengaluru, committed suicide by jumping off the 12th floor of a high rise in Mumbai.

He jumped off the flat that was owned by one of his friends' company. According to the police, he was reportedly depressed from past few days.

As per initial investigation, it has been found that Karan was in a drunk state and was watching TV with friends before heading towards the window and jump off.

He was soon rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. No suicide note has been recovered so far.

"His mobile phone will be sent to forensic science laboratory to get any possible lead about the reason behind his death," the official said.

"Destroyed. Karan Joseph, one of the most incredible Indian musicians, has committed suicide. Played with Pentagram on our MTV Unplugged set," singer and composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted.
