Sidhu Moose Wala Killing: Lawrence Bishnoi named as the mastermind
New Delhi : Delhi Police on Thursday named Lawrence Bishnoi as the mastermind behind the killing of famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
On May 31, the police had arrested Lawrence Bishnoi from Jail No 8 of Tihar. He was lodged in the jail one year ago after getting booked under MCOCA Act.
On May 29, hours after Sidhu Mosse Wala was gunned down in his car, the cops had announced Lawrence Bishnoi and Canada based gangster Goldy Brar as the prime suspects behind the murder.
Bishnoi is also under scanner over a threat letter to actor Salman Khan. The letter was found on a bench in Mumbai’s Bandstand Promenade and claimed, "Moosewala jaisa kar doonga (You will suffer the same fate as Moosewala)."
Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in his car on May 29, 2022. The unidentified assailants had come in a black car and showered bullets on him. Two other people were injured in the incident.
Canada based gangster Goldy Brar had claimed the responsibility of the murder, which happened within 24 hours after his security was withdrawn by Punjab police.
