New Delhi : When Colors Kannada Cinema organised a promotional event recently, on account of Makar Sankranti, it called upon one of the youngest voice-over artists in the Kannada film industry, Manoj Sharma, and his team to dedicate a special musical mash up tribute to S. Narayan, the legendary director-actor. The performance was kept a surprise for the brilliant filmmaker and it was well-received among the audience.

When Manoj and his two-member team, comprising of Nikita Bharadwaj and Adarsh Iyengar, rendered super-hit songs from Narayan’s movies, the audience was left mesmerised and nostalgic. Apart from Narayan, the event was attended by celebrity artists like Priyanka Thimmesh, Pruthwi Ambaar, Jhanvi Rayala, and Dharmanna. The promotional event, apart from celebrating the festival of Sankranti, was also meant to promote the Kannada movie “Sugarless.” It was telecast on January 14th.

Manoj Sharma, one of the youngest voice-over artists in the industry, was also recently honoured with an excellence award by the Abhigyane Foundation at Delhi’s Constitutional Club of India (CCI). The award is meant to felicitate the brilliant artist who recently completed 5000-plus voice-overs in the past two years. Apart from lending his voice to various national and international brand advertisements, he is also the launch voice for Colors Kannada Cinema channel.

On listening to Manoj and his team’s brilliant performance, S. Narayan became emotional and he thanked the three artists for making him feel nostalgic.

Manoj, who is a playback singer besides being a voice-over artist, has made quite a name for himself in the Kannada film industry. Talking about the event, Manoj said, “I am satisfied that our musical performance was the center of attention at the promotional event. Everyone congratulated us after the performance, including S. Narayan Sir."
