Famous Bengali actress Payel Chakraborty found dead in a hotel

Silliguri : Famous Bengali actress Payel Chakraborty has allegedly committed suicide in a hotel in Siliguri, North Bengal. The actress was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday, September 5.

According to a media report, the actress had checked in to the hotel on Tuesday, she was supposed to check out from the hotel on Wednesday; but there was no information about her going out. On suspicion the hotel staff checked her room but no one responded from the inside.

Later, the cops were called and on opening the room, the actress was found dead. Her body has been sent for the post mortem and the report is awaited.

Meanwhile, the investigation is on and the preliminary inquiry has suggested that it is a case of suicide due to depression.

Payel Chakraborty reportedly got divorced and is survived by a three-year-old son. Her family has been informed about the suicide.
