Kamal Hassan wishes 'speedy recovery' to Rajinikanth

Hyderabad : Actor turned politician Kamal Hassan on Friday wished speedy recovery to his counterpart and megastar Rajinikanth, who was admitted to the hospital after reporting severe fluctuations in the blood pressure.

"Wishes for Rajinikanth's speedy recovery," Mr Haasan tweeted in Tamil.

70-year-old Rajinikanth was in Hyderabad for shooting of his upcoming movie "Annathe", but the shooting was called off after four of the crew members tested positive for coronavirus. However, Rajinikanth tested negative for the coronavirus, he reported unusual fluctuations in his blood pressure.

"Though he did not have any symptoms of Covid-19, his blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation for which he has been admitted to the hospital. He will be investigated and monitored closely in the hospital till his blood pressure settles down before being discharged," Apollo Hyderabad's statement said.

The actor is currently stable and will be staying in the hospital under doctor's observation.
