New Delhi : The Narcotics Control Bureau [NCB] has responded to filmmaker Karan Johar’s party video of 2019. The party which was attended by Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Zoya Akhtar and others is under scanner.

According to reports, the NCB will re-examine the party video.

The NCB is looking into the drug angle in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Reports also suggest that the investigating agency might summon the actors for interrogation. It is also being said that the statements of the actors will be recorded through email and through their lawyers, says a report in Times Now.

Former MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa had filed a complaint with the Narcotics Control Bureau appealing to launch a probe into an alleged ‘drug party’ reportedly hosted by Karan in 2019.

Recently, Karan released an official statement and rubbished the reports of consuming drugs at his house party. His statement read, “No narcotics substance was consumed in the party. I WOULD LIKE TO UNEQUIVOCALLY ONCE AGAIN STATE THAT I DO NOT CONSUME NARCOTICS AND I DO NOT PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE CONSUMPTION OF ANY SUCH SUBSTANCE.”

He also clarified about the reports which suggested involvement of his employees in the drug case. The statement read, “Anubhav Chopra is not an employee of Dharma Productions. He was briefly associated with us for only two months in the capacity of 2nd assistant director for a film in 2011-12 and as an assistant director for a short film in January 2013. Mr. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharmatic Entertainment (sister concern of Dharma Productions) in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis for a project which eventually did not materialise.”
