Rajinikanth's Kaala day 1 box office collections worldwide

New Delhi : The entertainment world is roaring about ‘Kaala’, the gangster drama, directed by Pa Ranjith. Released on 7th June 2018, worldwide, the opening day received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics. Traders report confirmed that, Kaala has collected Rs 50 Cr gross at box office worldwide on its opening day. 

Conversely, Kaala has failed to defeat the record of Kabali which earned Rs 87.5 Cr at Worldwide box office on day 1.   But the trade analysts are expecting that Kaala will score well at the ticket counters. According to the traders report, Kaala has collected Rs 17 Cr from Tamil Nadu, Rs 3 Cr from Kerala, Rs 7 Cr from both Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,  Rs 6 Cr from ROI and Rs 17 Cr from overseas. To brief out, Rajinikanth’s movie has bagged a total amount of Rs 50 Cr in its first day opening.

However, most of the websites have reported that Kaala caught the lowest opening for any Rajinikanth movie ever.  Kollywood star Vishal Krishna, who is a member of the Tamil Nadu Films Producers’ Council (TFPC), said that Kaala’s release during the Ramzan week has also greatly affected the box office numbers.

Apart from Rajinikanth, Kaala has other stars like Nana Patekar, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, DIleepan, Samuthirakani, Sakshi Agarwal, Aruldoss, Arvind Akash, Sayaji Shinde , Sampath Raj and others in supporting role.
