Bannet Dosanjh wins Rising Star

Mumbai : Innovative concept of singing reality show Rising Star which was started on Colors had gained much popularity ever since it started to premiere on the channel. The show which started few months back finally came to an end last night. After weeks of marvelous performances and stress, Bannet Dosanjh won the hearts of the people and the show.

Bannet Dosanjh, Maithili Thakur and Ankita Kundu were the three finalists. Among which Bannet won the show with 20 Lakh cash price, trophy and will also get a chance to debut as playback singer in and Mahesh and Vishesh Bhatt’s next film. The show was being judged by experts in singing and music, Monali Thakur, Shankar Mahadevan, and Diljit Dosanjh.

The finale of the show was a grant one. Actor Anil Kapoor was special celebrity guest and enjoyed a lot on the show.

"I have been closely following the show because of its unique format. As actors and performers, we understand exactly what goes into giving a live performance. The talent on the show has been doing it spectacularly every weekend. Their dedication to their art and drive in achieving success is what has grabbed my attention. I am happy to join them during the final leg of the show," Anil Kapoor  had earlier said in a statement.

Winner Bannet said after winning, “This is unbelievable. I feel I am living a dream right now. I will live up to the title and work harder now,”
