Cheers! Shaktimaan to return on television soon

New Delhi : What could have been better than hearing this; 90’s favourite superhero is all set to make a comeback on small screens and interestingly Mukesh Khanna will be playing the lead character.

In an exclusive chat with news daily, Mukesh Khanna unveiled his plans to bring Shaktimaan back in houses. 

Mr Khanna is currently in talks with several channels to revive the saga again on small screens. Though, he is yet to finalise a deal.

"We are planning the return of Shaktimaan on television and the discussions are going on with few channels. I can't committ the date but you will get to see it soon. I am working on my look and body for it. I have already lost 8 kgs and will be losing another 8 kilos. I am not trying to get six pack abs. I want to try and match up with the look that I had 15 years back. People relate to me as Shaktimaan and I can't offer the role to anyone," said the actor to TOI.

He also spoke on why no other actor has been chosen for the lead character. He was quoted saying age is just a number and till the time an actor is able to pull off a character he must go for it.

With Mukesh Khanna playing the lead character, we hope our favourite villain Kilvish with his famous tag line Andhera Kayam Rahe also stays in the serial.

The second innings will also be an interesting tale as the technology has changed a lot and with that the impact and effect of the serial would be several notches high.
