Kannada 'Bigg Boss' season 4 winner Pratham attempts live suicide on Facebook

Mumbai : Kannada Bigg Boss season 4 winner Pratham on Wednesday attempted to commit suicide on Facebook live video, alleging frustration against ill-comments made by one of his colleagues from the entertainment industry.

In his live suicide attempt, Pratham swollowed sleeping pills and said this is his last Facebook interaction. He added that this will be a perfect lesson for those who put derogatory remarks on social media.

Pratham is currently admitted in a hospital and is completely out of danger, claims Police.

The cops are also planning to slap a case under IPC section 309 (for attempted suicide)  against him. However, attempted suicide has now been decriminalised by the Mental Healthcare Bill passed by the Parliament last week.

In his video, he first talked about the stress he is facing after after an amateur director, Lokesh, allegedly humiliated him on social media.

Pratham also claimed that he is doing all this to teach Lokesh a good lesson.

Couple of days back, a 24-year-old Arjun Bharadwaj took his life by jumping from his 19th floor room of a posh Bandra hotel while making a live video on Facebook.
