Now, Over 50 thousand ban petitions haunt 'Pehredaar Piya Ki'

New Delhi : Over 50k petitions have been signed so far by the viewers asking a ban on the famous TV show 'Pehredaar Piya Ki'.

Viewers filed their petition on change.org addressed to I&B Minister Smriti Irani claiming that the content of the show is 'obnoxious'.

The petition reads, "Pehredar piya ki. - A 10 year old impressionable little kid(" piyaa") caressing and stalking a lady who's more than double his age and filling sindoor in her "maang" is being telecasted at prime time -8:30pm on sony. (Family time) It is to be devoured by the entire Nation. Imagine the kind of influence it will steadily and perpetually infuse in the viewers mindset. We want a ban on the serial. We do not want our kids to be infuenced by such tv serials. Join us in signing the petition to ban this serial."

Ever since the show was aired on the Sony TV, it attracted negative reaction from the society and now when the show's story revolves around the honeymoon of little boy and his wife, viewers have straight away rejected the show.
