Bengaluru Metro temporarily out of service today

Bengaluru : Bengaluru Metro services were stopped temporarily on Friday amid protest by workers. On Thursday, Metro workers had thrashed a police man.

The protests have led to the inconvenience of 3 lakh commuters on the route.

The standoff began after a constable indulged into a minor scuffle with the workers. The Metro worker allegedly attacked the constable with his friends and colleagues following which two people were arrested. 

The metro workers are now protesting, demanding the release of their colleague. The two constables have also been arrested after a report was filed by the metro workers.
