Car of giant wheel crashed down, killed girl in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh : In a heartbreaking incident, an eight-year-old girl died and six others were seriously injured when a car of a giant wheel come down crashing in the exhibition ground of Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur town on Sunday night, police said.

The incident took place at the Robo Animals Exhibition, when one of the cabins of the giant wheel flew off as its bolt gave away.

The deceased girl has been identified as Amrutha. She died on the spot while six others including three children sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in the town.

The tragedy smacked at the Exhibition Ground in Anantapur when Amrutha’s parents were video recording their daughter taking the ride. The video of the crash wheel has gone viral on social media on Monday.

After the crash, visitors became violent and started beating the wheel operator. Police visited the spot, rescued and arrested him.

Relatives of the deceased and injured people alleged that the tragic accident occurred due to the negligence of wheel operator as he did not stop the wheel car despite knowing about the loose bolts

For now, police seized the giant wheel and registered a case against the wheel operator.
