New Delhi : It's shocking to know that a family in Delhi was stabbed to death by a neighbour, while other neighbours recorded the incident instead of extending their helping hands to the victims.

A 35-year-old woman and her husband and their son were stabbed multiple times by their neigbour following an argument over a trivial issue in West Delhi’s Khayala on the evening of 16 January, reported CNN-News18.

Police report confirms that the woman died on the spot, while her husband and son sustained multiple injuries. The husband succumbed to his injuries after he was admitted to the hospital. The son, whose condition is critical, is still battling for his life.

It was around 7:30 pm on 16 January, when the police received a call about the fight which broke out between Sunita and her neighbour Mohammad Azad, when the woman was on her way back from the local market, The Hindu reported.

The accused got into an argument with Sunita and refused to back off even after the woman asked him to speak to her properly. Sunita’s son Aakash tried to talk to Azad, but was stabbed after an argument. The couple, who then came to his rescue, were stabbed multiple times as well. Police said that the accused fled immediately from the scene.

According to a senior police official, the accused was angry over a water bottle belonging to Sunita’s daughter, which had fallen from the terrace and hit him, four days ago.

The issue, however, has been resolved by the neighbours. On the other hand, Azad interrupted Sunita while she was on her back from the market on Wednesday evening and argued over the same issue, reported The Hindu.

Neighbours confirmed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and had come prepared with a knife in hand, with the intent of killing the family, reported CNN-News18.

The police said Azad is still absconding and police are making their best efforts to find him.
