Hyderabad : A television anchor Radhika Reddy commits suicide on late Sunday night. In her suicide note, the deceased has written, 'My brain is my enemy.'

36-year-old Radhika Reddy killed herself by allegedly jumping from the fifth floor of her residence in Kukatpally area in Hyderabad. After the matter was reported, the concerned authorities rushed the suicide spot and started investigation. Police recovered a suicide note from her handbag in which she wrote that she was forced to take the extreme step due to depression. “Due to depression, I am killing myself. Nobody else is the reason. My brain is my enemy,” she allegedly wrote in the suicide note.

Late Radhika was a popular television anchor for channel V6. She was famous for her unique style of anchoring programmes.

The investigating police officer of Kukatpally Police Station in Hyderabad said that TV news anchor Radhika Reddy committed suicide after she returned from her office. During investigation process, the police found a suicide note from her bag. Although she got married 12 years ago, she parted ways with her husband about six months ago. Since then, she was living with her parents and her son Banu Teja Reddy who is mentally-challenged. 

Medical examination of the dead body reported that she suffered multiple fractures, head injury and massive bleeding after she jumped off which lead to her death. As per reports, the TV news anchor committed suicide at around 10:50 PM on Sunday.

The last rites of the late Radhika had been performed in Hyderabad on Monday. Family members, friends and colleagues from the media group attended at ESI cemetery where her body was cremated.
