2.897 new coronavirus cases registered in India in a day

New Delhi : India has registered 2,897 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking a 26 per cent growth in daily cases than yesterday. The nation also recorded 54 deaths in the same time frame.

According to official data, by the government, the number of active cases in India is currently at 19.494.

The current recovery rate in India stands at 98.74%.
