3 dead, over 1000 fall ill after gas leakage at LG Polymers chemical plant in Visakhapatnam

Vizag : At least three people have died and over 1,000 have fallen ill due to gas leakage accident at LG Polymers chemical plant in Andhra Pradesh's Vishakapatnam. The people were admitted to the hospital after they reported burning sensation in the eyes and breathing difficulties.

According to a news report, police, fire tenders and ambulances have reached the spot to take control of the situation.

The leakage occurred at around 3 am, according to a report by The Times of India.

A rescue operation has begun, with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams deployed, the report added.
