Agastya Jaiswal: 11-year-old boy who cleared class XII exams

Telangana : Agastya Jaiswal, an 11-year-old boy, has named himself among the rare extraordinary kids who have cleared class XII exam at very early age.

According to a PTI report and Agastya's father Ashwani Kumar, the kid is first student from the state to achieve this landmark. He cleared exam by nothing less than 63 per cent.

Student of St Mary's Junior College, Yousufguda, he appeared for the exam in March this year. The results of which were announced on Sunday.

Agastya, who had cleared SSC in 2015, also took permission from the Telangana SSC Board to appear for the exam, his father said.

However, he added that it was not required for him to appear for the exam.

According to the report, an official with the Board of Intermediate Education said the students appearing for the class XII exam only have to give information related to the subjects, medium of instruction and the second language, but not age.

The Board of Intermediate Education relies on SSC data for other information, he said.
