New Delhi : The DGCA had issued a show cause notice to Air India over an incident where a male passenger had urinated on a women passenger in an New York to Delhi flight. Now, the Air India has responded and said that they are listing all measures taken on the flight after the horrifying act.

According to a news report, Air India has mentioned that the passenger had initially demanded an action against the offender, but later they neutralised the matter under a mutual understanding between them.

"At first, the female passenger had asked for an action against the offender upon arrival. Later, rescinded her request after the two parties appeared and sorted the matter between them," the airline said.

"Cabin crew reported the incident to the Commander and logged it in the Voyage Report. As there was no further flare up or confrontation, and respecting the perceived wishes of the female passenger, crew elected not to summon law enforcement upon landing," the airline further added.

Meanwhile, it must be noted that the airline had a slapped ban on male passenger. A police case has also been filled in the matter.

The incident had happened on November 26th but it was reported a few days back when the woman wrote to Tata Group of Chairman and Chandrasekharan about the incident in the airlines handling of the situation.
