Arvind Kejriwal is greedy, should leave CM post on moral grounds, says BJP

New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday slammed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not resigning from his post despite getting arrested in liquor policy scam. The party said he should have resigned on the moral grounds.

BJP also claimed that Arvind Kejriwal is a 'greedy leader' and because of this he is not leaving his post even after getting arrested.

"Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is in jail. Therefore, he should resign morally and give his responsibility to someone else. Arvind Kejriwal still holding his position shows that he is greedy and does not want to leave his chair because of his insecurity," BJP leader Dr. Harshvardhan said.

Another BJP leader said that CM cannot issue any direction from the jail.

"A chief minister cannot issue any direction from the jail. This is a drama. I have complained about this to the L-G, demanding strict action against them," Manjinder Singh Sirsa said.

For those who are not aware, Arvind Kejriwal was taken into police custody on March 28th for his alleged connection in the liquor policy scam. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party has said to gherao Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in New Delhi to protest against the arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister.
