Atal Foundation Organizes National Atal Awards to Honour the Legacy of Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpa

New Delhi : The Atal Foundation organized the National Atal Awards 2023 on May 16th at the Prime Minister's Museum, Teen Murti, New Delhi, to honor the legacy of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The award ceremony recognized outstanding achievements in 15 categories, resonating with the contributions by the former statesman to the society. 

Atal Ji took oath as Prime Minister for the first time on May 16th, which is commemorated by the Atal Foundation. The ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Union Ministers Faggan Singh Kulaste and Dr. Mahesh Sharma, former National Vice President of the BJP, Shri Shyam Jaju, and other dignitaries. 

President of the Atal Foundation, Aparna Singh, emphasized Atal Ji's commitment to human values that inspired millions of Indian youth to work for the betterment of society. She added that the felicitation ceremony is organized to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their respective fields. 

As part of the event, the teaser for the web series 'Vajpayee Yagya' was launched. The series highlights Atal Ji's life and contributions, showcasing his principles and values to a wider audience. 

The National Atal Awards recognize achievements in various categories, including Education, Health, Sports, Science, Social Work, Political, Art, Clean India, Peace, Literature, Environment, Farming, Women Empowerment, Goodwill, Bravery, Save Nature, Make in India, and Lifetime Achievements.
