Attack on BSF camp near Srinagar international airport, 1 militant killed

Srinagar : A couple of militants have reportedly attacked the Border Security Force (BSF) camp near Srinagar International Airport at Gogo Humhama on Tuesday morning. One militant was killed and 3 security personnel were injured in the firing exchange that is still underway.

The militants attacked 182 battalion camp of the BSF near the Srinagar international airport early on Tuesday. In the initial reports it is not revealed if the militants managed to enter the camp or they started firing from the outside.

"Intermittent firing exchanges are going on. The area has been cordoned off," a police officer said.

At least two militants are still believed to be trapped inside the BSF administrative block. The BSF camp is situated close to the Srinagar Civil and Technical airport. The BSF is guarding one side of the airport's outer ring.
