Audio tapes to topple Congress government in Rajasthan add new twist

New Delhi : Audio tapes in regards to topple Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan are being widely shared on the social media, adding new twist to the whole political grind in the state.

The authenticity of the three audio tapes, each of eight minutes, could not be verified. In the audio tapes, individuals can be heard talking about the exchange of money for switching sides to remove the Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan.

In the conversations, one person can be heard saying that more legislators will be required; another man says that the current government will not last long. There is also a conversation that it would take 10 to 15 days to topple the government.

The newly appointed Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasara tweeted claiming that the audio tapes have exposed the ill intentions of the BJP.

“The tapes clearly show the role of BJP in the present bid to topple the Congress government,” he said.

BJP spokesperson Mukesh Pareek said the tapes running on TV channels didn’t seem authentic. “Even they (channels) aren’t verifying the authenticity. Investigation will find the truth behind this conspiracy. It looks like a conspiracy by the Congress,” he said.
