Bengaluru : One-hour time extension has been allowed for pubs, bars and restaurants in Bengaluru on the New Year’s Eve. 

The celebration will now go on till 2AM, the usual permitted time for nightlife is 1 AM.

Times of India quoted Bengaluru city police commissioner T Suneel Kumar in one of its reports as saying that any kind of misbehavior will not be tolerated and the culprits will be arrested on the spot.

He also revealed how they are planning to keep the celebrations safe and sound for the people of the city.

Notably, MG Road, Brigade Road, Church Street and adjoining areas will be monitored through watch towers, drones and mobile control rooms. Over 2,500 personnel will be deployed on these stretches, the police commissioner said.

Adding further, Kumar said that a total of 15,000 police personnel will be deployed across the city to ensure law and order, and will be aided by 500 CCTV cameras, including 250 surveillance cameras on MG Road and surrounding areas.

Looks like Bengaluru is all set to welcome 2018 by partying all night under safe and secure environment.
