Bhagwant Mann meets PM Modi, demands package for Punjab

Punjab : Newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding financial aide from Centre to improve his state.

He has demanded Rs 50,000 crores from PM Modi for the development of Punjab.

ਅੱਜ ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਭੱਖਦੇ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। pic.twitter.com/wzaNugAFz6

This was the first time when Bhagwant Mann met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister.

He has taken oath as CM for Punjab on March 16, 2022. PM Modi had also wished him after the oath-taking ceremony.

"Congratulations to Bhagwant Mann on taking oath as Punjab CM. Will work together for the growth of Punjab and welfare of the state's people," PM Modi had tweeted.
