Bharat Bandh: Protest jam kills two-year-old in ambulance
New Delhi : There could be no shame for Indians for letting a two-year-old die in ambulance stuck in jam caused due to so called 'Bharat Bandh', a protest against rising fuel prices in the country.
What could be more brutal for a nation when people start making their fights much stronger than a life of a human of their own country; in a shameful incident child reportedly died on her way to Bihar’s Jehanabad civil hospital as her ambulance failed to find a way out from the protest being carried by Congress-led opposition parties.
As per a report, the ambulance carrying the girl got stuck in road blockade by Bandh supporters, following which she lost her life before reaching the hospital. Speaking to reporters, her parents said,” If we were allowed to move ahead, our daughter’s life could have been saved.”
Amid protest across the nation, rail and road traffic was massively hit across Bihar due to nationwide shutdown. The shutdown is being supported by the opposition Rashtryia Janata Dal (RJD), Left Parties and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
Hundreds of Congress and other opposition parties leaders and workers took to the streets since early Monday in different parts of Bihar. Over a dozen long route trains were halted at Patna, Gaya, Bhojpur, Jehanabad, Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur railway stations.
