New Delhi : Following the 'Bharat Bandh' call by group of protesters, today, the Ministry of Home Affairs have advised the states to increase the security arrangements to prevent any annoying incident, including the issue of prohibitory orders, if necessary.

MHA asked for strengthening of patrolling in all sensitive locations so as to prevent any loss of life or damage to property. The Advisory emphasised that District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police be made personally responsible for ensuring that law and order situation remains strongly under control in the areas of their jurisdiction.

Some groups of protestors circulated Bharat Bandh messages of WhatsApp messages and other social media networks.

Several groups called for protesting against reservation system while some other groups will be protesting against the aggression that evoked during the Bharat Bandh called by Dalit groups on April 2.

Section 144 has been imposed in Rajasthan's Bharatpur till April 15 after protests over SC/ST protection act. The section has also been forced in select places in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh

Internet services will be suspended at around 9 am, today.

Around 6000 police forces have been deployed in Bhopal so as to avoid any violence and loss of life and property.

The schools will, however, remain open. Bhopal commissioner said that the police department will keep an eye on social media and strict action will be taken against any kind of protest related rumours

In Rajasthan, communities like Karni Sena, Jat Mahasabha, Jat Samaj Sewa Sansthan and Akhil Bharatiya Gurjar Mahasabha, informed the district administration in Bhilwara that they do not support the call for Bharat bandh for April 10.

The Police team have conducted flag marches at several places on Monday.

No impact of BharatBandh call has been seen yet in Meerut.

The Ministry of Home Affairs have issued an advisory that some groups would be protesting against caste-based reservations in jobs and education, reports ANI.
