BJP hints RJD's involvement in Nitish Kumar convoy attack

Buxar : Bharatiya Janata Party suspects RJD's involvement in the attack on Nitish Kumar convoy on Friday. Bihar Chief Minister was on his way to a village in the district as a part of his 'Vikas Kaaryon Ki Sameeksha Yatra'.

"It seems some parties like the RJD are unable to practice politics of ideology and have to resort to violence," said BJP Bihar President Nityanand Rai.

The CM was rescued unhurt in the incident, while two of his security personnel were injured. A probe has been ordered in the matter to learn the real reason behind the attack.

"The incident took place when the convoy reached Buxar's Nandan village, where some locals started hurling stones at the vehicles. At least two security persons sustained injuries. The window panes and windscreens of several vehicles were broken, interrupting the motorcade for a few minutes," a senior official in Bihar government told DNA.

As per media reports, a section of people was not happy with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to avoid a visit at lower community.

"A section of the villagers were unhappy with the lack of development in their tola. They wanted the CM to see the actual situation and started hurling stones at his convoy when that did not happen," a local police officer said.

Earlier, Nitish Kumar was shown black flags and he had to pass through anti-party slogans during his last public meetings.
