BJP MLA's son rides horse on highway amid lockdown, video goes viral

Bengaluru : A video of Karnataka BJP MLA's son has gone viral in which he can be seen riding a horse on a highway amid lockdown in the state and the nation.

In the video, Gundlupet BJP MLA Niranjan Kumar's son is seen riding the horse on the Mysore-Ooty National Highway near the ITI College in the town.

Watch the video below:

What makes the whole act even sad is that the boy is not even wearing a mask which has been repeatedly notified by the state and central governments to the people visiting public places in mandatory condition.

The video of the incident, which happened on Monday, sparked outrage on social media with people asking the government to take action against the son of the BJP MLA for flouting lockdown norms.

Meanwhile, the BJP leader has supported his son and claimed while speaking to India Today, "Yes, he is my son."

"There is no rule on paper which says that one can't ride a horse.

"I was in Bangalore yesterday [Monday] and Mysore today. I don't know what happened, I will find out. If there is a fault I will tell him what's wrong and what's right. I won't defend. If there's a mistake, I will tell him," the Karnataka BJP MLA said.

Speaking over the missing mask, he said his family is living in the green zone and most of the people are not wearing masks in green zones.
