Carrying road equipment Chinese troops intrude into Arunachal

New Delhi : Chinese soldiers carrying road material intruded into Arunachal upto 200 meters in late December before Indian troops stopped them, claimed a media report.

People in the security establishment confirmed the development to Hindustan Times on Tuesday.

The latest incursion comes months after China and India agreed to end stand off in Doklam. 

One of the people in the security establishment said that there is “no face-off now” but that the “Chinese have left their road construction material on the site”.

“The Chinese have increased their road construction activities in the area in recent past,” added this person, who asked not to be identified.

According to locals the Chinese troops were intercepted by Indian soldiers near Bising village (under Tuting subdivision), along the eastern bank of Siang river.
