Dogs eat up man's body outside Aligarh morgue, video shakes UP authorities

Aligarh : A shocking video of dogs feeding on the human body outside Aligarh morgue has shamed Uttar Pradesh authorities on Monday.

"We had received information that a dead body is being eaten by dogs. Since this is against humanity the culprit won't be spared. I will investigate the matter thoroughly," said Dr. ML Agarwal, Chief Medical Officer of Aligarh City.

Two officials working at the postmortem house have been suspended by the authorities, following preliminary investigations. It is still not clear about who shot the video.

This has happened for the second time in last one year when a body has been eaten up by dogs outside a mortuary in UP. Last August, in Lucknow's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, a woman's body left unattended, was eaten by dogs outside the mortuary.

The woman had allegedly consumed poison and was sent to mortuary after doctors declared her dead.

Three personnel at the mortuary were sacked after a huge public outcry. Top officials of the Uttar Pradesh government had stepped in after the woman's husband filed a case.
